When you use my instant estimate, you pick a package, date, venue and times. To work out travel, the page looks up the venue postcode you type and measures the driving distance from my base. Please use the postcode of a public venue or business, not a private home address.
To do this, your postcode is sent to two outside services: postcodes.io, to find the location, and openrouteservice (run by HeiGIT), to work out the route. They have their own privacy policies, and I don't control how they handle data.
My estimate tool doesn't keep a record of the postcode you use for a venue on my list, or of your package, date or times. It does keep a short-lived counter that limits how often one visitor can look up a distance. My website host and these two services may keep ordinary technical records, such as IP addresses and request times, as most websites do.
If you type a venue that isn't on my list, I keep its name and postcode privately so I can check it. If it is a public venue or business, I may add it to my list. I don't add private homes, and I delete anything I don't add after 60 days.
The estimate is a guide only. If you send me an enquiry, I'll use the details you give me only to reply and plan your event. If you have a question about your data, or want something removed, contact me through the enquiry form on my website.
